How to make a coloring page (if you want an example of the finished product, see here):
- Open up a computer program like Illustrator or CorelDraw or Illustrator or whatnot on your computer (use Spotlight or Quicksilver).
- Open a photo that you took, or something of the like (apple open maybe).
- Create a new layer (click new layer).
- Lock the original layer (click in the empty box next to the layers, the box that might be next to the eye symbol), the one with your template photo or whatever.
- Click onto your pen tool.
- Click onto the unlocked layer.
- Start drawing and connecting points, using the photo or whatever as an outline.
- If you like, try out different thicknesses for your lines.
- Click the little eye next to the layer that is locked.
- See your finished product!
- Throw away the template layer (the layer with your photo or whatnot). You can do this by clicking and dragging the layer to the trashcan symbol (and then dropping it there). The trashcan symbol should be at the bottom of your layers box.
- Don’t forget to save your completed coloring page!
- Print and color!!!
