Welcome to Photoshop911 (Adobe Photoshop)! Welcome! Did I just say that twice?
If you need simple Photoshop help, here is the place to get it!
In this free online course you will be learning — well, I’ll get to that later. Let me first tell you my teaching method. My teaching method is to explain in words and by screen captures – step-by-step – what to do, how to do it, and what it does.
In this course you will learn about:
- opening a photo
- closing a photo
- the different methods of saving a photo
- using exposure
- cropping a photo
- using the many filters
- layers
- quick keys for just about everything
- text, and more!
Here is what you will learn in the post Photoshop911, Part One:
- quick keys
- screen modes
- opening photos
- closing photos
- saving photos (saving/saving as/saving for web and devices)
- cropping images
So far there are no other posts besides Elementary, but there hopefully will be soon.
Don’t hesitate to ask me for some extra assistance. That’s why this course is called Photoshop911 – people can learn what they can from the course, then ask me or someone else for extra assistance. I am glad to help!
As a note, this isn’t anything official. Just handy things you can do in Photoshop.
Once you complete this course (or just start it), you will have at least a head start, and hopefully an understanding, of Adobe Photoshop.
Contact me if you have any questions. Don’t get locked inside a box of only using what I’ve taught you and not experimenting! The only way I know Photoshop is through a little instruction from someone else, and my own experimenting.
A few of the benefits of using this course are:
- quick key combos included, and in italic
- quick keys taught on each page listed at the beginning of each page
- this course is all free, and able to be viewed by the public – you won’t run into later parts in this course that are password-protected
- not a penny is charged for the use of this course
- simple text and detailed screen captures are the main part of this course
- everything step-by-step, building from the ground up
- examples are shown for almost every subject
- the course is divided into levels: Elementary, Middle, and High
- the photos can be clicked on to be seen larger
- subjects are bolded
- handy, helpful hints are included (the NOTE part in all caps like that)
In the future I plan to have a course on photography (prequel to Photoshop911), perhaps Adobe Illustrator (sequel to Photoshopp911), definitely WordPress (on blogging), and maybe Carrara as well (3d stuff). Carrara has the ‘z’ axis, which is pretty cool. You don’t have to wait for me – learn these programs (and many more), and write your own course on them!
Hint: apple shift 4 all held down at once will make screen captures with you. Then click and drag to make the screen capture. It will appear on your computer’s desktop.
