The Paper Holder Folder (it’s a paper holder/folder)

These are the directions for making one of my inventions:

Materials:

  • brads (2-3)
  • box lid or bottom (box to put gifts in, I mean, that kind of box)
  • duct tape
  • scissors
  • hole punch
  • papers smaller than the box
  • ruler
  • pencils or pens (1-2)
  • clothespin or clip

What 2 Do:

  1. Put a ruler horizontally on the middle of the box lid or bottom.  Crease box around ruler.  The box should now look like a book cover, just without the paper.
  2. Duct tape the creases on the outside and inside of your box.  This provides extra stability and will hopefully prevent your box from te
  3. Punch holes in your paper.  (Two holes will work fine, but three are okay, too.)  Now punch holes along the left or right sides of your paper (right side for left-handed people, left side for right-handed people).  Make sure your holes match up.   It will be very important for the next step.
  4. Put a brad through each hole in your box (the tabs pointing toward the inside of the box), and put them through the holes in your paper.  Fold down the tabs to keep your paper in place.

Note 1: When you are finished writing in your new Paper Holder Folder, you can store your pencils in it (up to 2 pencils).  Just slip your pencil or pen vertically between your tabs (tabs apart), and bend the tabs around the pencil (or pen).  You must not have any part of them over the parallel creases in the center of the Paper Holder Folder.  Now fold up your folder, and clip it at the top with your clothespin or clip.  Now you can take your Paper Holder Folder with you wherever you go!

Note 2: It is fun to doodle pictures on your folder.  Enjoy!  🙂
